After surgery and any follow-up treatments you may still want to explore the various options of breast
reconstruction. Talk to doctors and other breast cancer patients who have had reconstruction to get the best information.
Another option, available six months after treatment is finished, is a custom breast prosthesis such as
Radiant Impressions®. This lightweight prosthesis is up to 50% lighter than a conventional silicone prosthesis. It is hand sculpted to match your chest wall
and your remaining breast. If you had surgery to both breasts, this is a wonderful option as your chest wall may not be equal.
Dozens of skin tones are available as well as other cosmetic additions that personalize it just to you.
This type of prosthesis does not require the use of a special bra, though you may still choose a pocketed bra for comfort and flexibility.
In addition, custom made silicone nipple prostheses can be sculpted for you after reconstruction.
Most insurance companies include custom breast prostheses as a benefit after breast surgery.
Call and speak to one of Judy's certified custom breast prosthesis specialists for additional information.
